Native Highlight: Instagram Food Blogger PhillyFoodGirls's Favorite Spots

Native Highlight: Phillyfoodgirls

We had an awesome opportunity to sit down with the two masterminds behind Phillyfoodgirls, an Instagram account that mixes incredible food photos with some absolutely genius puns! We caught up with them to learn all about Phillyfoodgirls and grabbed their favorite places to go in Philly.

The Inspiration Behind The Account

We’re exploring Philly while eating good food, it really doesn’t get much better than that.

It all started about 4 years ago. The two were taking pictures on a now ancient iPhone camera when they got inspired. The decided to take their passion for food and help people discover the Philly food scene. They pride themselves on only posting authentic pictures taken by them or their friends so you can get the real deal about a place.

On top of being able to try awesome food, their favorite part of running Phillyfoodgirls is how willing their friends are to send them pictures, restaurant reviews, and even take the leap of faith and try new places with them!

Why You Need To Follow Them Right This Second

There are a lot of Philly food Instagrams out there, but we aren’t trying to prove anything to anyone. We try to keep our page as authentic as possible. We very rarely repost other account’s photos & all of our photos are either ours or from our friends (and we’re picky - they’ll tell you!).

Our favorite part of Phillyfoodgirls has got to be the pun attached to every post. We're MASSIVE fans of a creatively worded pun, and this duo does a hell of a job with it! We also love their motivation coming from having fun and enjoying the Philly food scene. Unlike a lot of other accounts, who are out to just gain followers at all costs.

Make sure to check them out on Instagram @Phillyfoodgirls.
